Calorie Burner is meant to help you reach your health and fitness goals. Using GPS, it tracks your cardio workout in two modes: on foot and on bicycle. By tapping the icon on the home screen you can select the mode tailored to your workout.
Calorie Burner factors in whether you are on a bike or on foot, your speed, the distance you have traveled at and your changes in elevation in order to provide a reasonably precise estimate of how many calories you burn. For the location, Calorie Burner uses iPhones CoreLocation API, which pinpoints your location allowing the app to calculate your speed, elevation, and duration between location updates. Taking into account the slope of the terrain over which you are exercising and your speed, Calorie Burner calculates your energy expenditure.
Calorie Burner then tracks the calories you burn during your exercise, allowing you to gauge the effectiveness of your workouts.

Please note that this app does NOT work on iPods, no matter the version or iOS running on it. iPods/iPod Touches do not have the accurate GPS functionality necessary to calculate calories.
